The output window is the window that allow you to monitor what ARTeMIS Modal is doing. There are three types of messages that appear here:
- Information. This type of messages are only for information and helps you to track what has been performed of analysis and processing. This type of messages are written in black.
- Warning. A warning message is written if something e.g is not specified correctly and ARTeMIS Modal needs to use defaults values. This can e.g. lack of proper measurements units in the SVS Configuration File. This type of messages are written in purple .
- Error. Fatal errors are written in red. If this happens save the project immediately and restart the application. If the error persists contact support.
By default, the window automatically open and close when there are messages to show. It can be forced open by clicking the Auto Hide button .
The Output Window Context Menu contains the following options:
- Export Log can be used to export the current log messages.
- Clear Log can be used to remove the Log Messages currently displayed in the Output Window. The Output messages for a specific project are saved within the project file, so you can have a complete tracking of the analysis, However, if you think that it is too much information or you want to start over, then, you can clear the log.
The following filtering options are available:
- Show Active Project Logs only toggles the displayed log messages between messaged from all currently opened projects or only from the active project.
- Show Information. When this options is checked then the Information messages are displayed in the Output Window. If you do not need them, you can uncheck this option and receive only the Warning and Error messages.
- Show Warning. When this options is checked then the Warning messages are displayed in the Output Window. It is recommended that this option is always checked, since it may contain the reason why the analysis is not as you might expect.
- Show Errors. When this options is checked then the Error messages are displayed in the Output Window. It is recommended that this option is always checked, since it may contain the reason why the analysis is not as you might expect.
